Workshops in Archaeological Drawing (one of three)
We will be holding three workshops in archaeological drawing in Rewley House on 8, 14 and 17 March.
This time we will be concentrating on producing hand-inked excavation plan and section drawings for the Project's eventual publications. We will use site drawings from the Bartlemas Chapel excavation and some test pit drawings.
You do not need any experience, or to have excavated with us, but a steady hand, patience and attention to detail are definitely helpful. We will provide all the equipment, including the specialist pens, and hot drinks at breaks; you will need packed lunch, or money for lunch at a local cafe, if you are coming for one of the day sessions.
We have to limit the places to 5-6 per session as the work needs close supervision, lots of space and specialist equipment. Please sign up by contacting Jane on jane@archeox.net and note that the day sessions are not divided into two. For this to be worthwhile you need to spend a few hours on the task!
