We will be digging a small 2-day exploratory excavation in a back garden in Abberbury Road, from where there is a record of a possible Anglo-Saxon burial having been found some years ago. This is a neighbouring property to one where we found a Roman coin in a test pit in 2011 (see test pit reports, Test Pit 12). Details of location and final timings will be confirmed by email to participants when the team for this event is assembled.
