Pottery Workshop with John Cotter from Oxford Archaeology
We are running a pottery workshop with John Cotter from Oxford Archaeology on 13 April 2013 10am - 2pm at Rewley House (1 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JA)
John Cotter, a pottery specialist with Oxford Archaeology, who has been analysing the pottery from Bartlemas Chapel, will hold a workshop in identifying and understanding pottery. He will concentrate on the medieval period using pottery from our excavations and his own collections. John will also give an introduction to the development of pottery in Britain from earliest times to the Victorian period, and has said he is happy to identify any pottery participants might like to bring in!
This workshop is completely free and new volunteers are welcome to attend but places are very limited so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to come. We will confirm places by Monday 25 March.
